The Sustainable Peace, Environment and Economic Development (SPEED) Project was officially launched in March 2026 in Yei, bringing together OFAO, government leaders, and community stakeholders to advance peace, resilience, environmental sustainability, and economic development. Led by Caritas Switzerland and implemented by CDC (South Sudan/Uganda), OFAO, and AFARD, with technical support from Swiss-peace, SPEED aims to strengthen sustainable livelihoods, build community resilience, and promote lasting peace for more than 20,000 people across the South Sudan Uganda border. Through collaboration with local communities and partners, the project will support initiatives that contribute to food security, environmental restoration, economic opportunities, social cohesion, and sustainable peace.
